I agree 100% that the sketch is better. I think that the spontenaiety of quick pencil work has a lot more appeal than a final painting in nearly all cases. That's just my taste/opinion.
But the point of this blog is to force me to draw every darn day and develop my digital painting skills. I want to be paid for serious comic/illustration work and gain a rep for it.
